The Villa
The bed faces the ocean.
A one-bedroom home above La Fortuna, 83 m² (830 sq ft), built in a Mediterranean style with warm wood. The California King faces the water, so the first thing you see in the morning is the surf.
The walls are insulated concrete, so it stays cool and quiet even in the hottest months.
Outside
The terrace.
80 m² of covered terrace looking straight out at the Sea of Cortez. Morning coffee out here is hard to beat, and so is the end of the day.
From November to early April you can watch humpbacks from the same chair. The salt water pool is open to every guest from 7 AM to 8 PM.
About the space
What’s inside.
An open living room with a 65-inch smart TV, and a big kitchen with an island, a five-burner gas stove and a French-door fridge with filtered drinking water. There’s a Jura coffee machine and good organic beans, so nobody has to drive to town for a latte.
The desk in the bedroom faces the ocean, which makes remote work easier to take. A big walk-in shower with a picture window, a wooden walk-in closet for longer stays, and air conditioning throughout.

Koa, Maya and Marley will greet you loudly when you pull in, then settle down fast. Most guests end up playing fetch with them. Chamoy is the cat everyone falls for.

La Fortuna is a short walk down from the house. Nine Palms and Shipwrecks are a few minutes’ drive, and there are about 30 waves along this stretch of coast.
